Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect no data. None. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, no third-party SDKs.

Your location

If you grant location permission, your position is used only to show the blue dot on the map so you can find sunshine near you. Your location is processed entirely on your device — it is never stored, logged, or transmitted to us (we have no servers) or to anyone else. Location permission is optional: if you decline, every feature still works and the map simply centers on San Francisco.

Network requests the app makes

To show live conditions, the app makes anonymous requests to two public services:

Open-Meteo — hourly cloud, wind, and UV forecasts for fixed San Francisco coordinates (not your location). See the Open-Meteo terms.

OpenStreetMap (Overpass API) — public map data: parks, cafés, and building footprints for San Francisco, requested for the city as a whole (not your location).

These requests contain no identifiers, no account information, and no personal data. Like any web request, the operators of those services may briefly see your IP address in their server logs; we send nothing else. The map itself is rendered by Apple Maps (MapKit), which operates under Apple's privacy policy.

What we store on your device

Only the app's own working data (the bundled list of spots and cached forecasts). Nothing leaves your phone.

Changes

If the app ever changes what it does with data, this page will be updated first and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match.
